Foremost Insurance Specialty Coverage

Foremost Insurance is one of the few carriers that will consider to write an insurance policy on vacant property or property vacant and under renovation.

These policies are written on a Texas Dwelling Fire Policy Form, and are subject to certain underwriting guidelines.   TDP policies are typically written on non-owner occupied property.   Generally, they are written on property inhabited by a tenant.    Texas "homeowner" policies are not written on non-owner occupied property, per Texas Department of Insurance guidelines.   "Owner" can include certain relatives of the deed holder.

The issue with unoccupied property is the risk of vandalism damage, and virtually all major carriers have prohibitions about writing any coverage on such property.

Please email or give us a call at 972-727-9557 if you have a need for such coverage
